“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” – 2 Corinthians 9:15
Dear Friend of Divine Savior Ministries,
We all enjoy giving and receiving gifts at Christmas. As we reflect on 2019, we can’t help but thank God for the many gifts He has showered on Divine Savior Ministries. It is always fun to look back on the highlights of the last year. Across our campuses we were blessed with record enrollments, congregations that are growing, expanded facilities in Sienna, and on-target construction in both Austin at our Santa Rita Ranch campus and in Doral at our new ministry to students with special needs, The Divine Savior School. What a blessed year!
Of course, none of this speaks to the heart of our ministry, sharing with our families, students, and neighbors the indescribable gift Paul describes in his letter to the Corinthians...the good news of God’s grace! Grace fully and freely given to us through our Savior born in Bethlehem.
There is so much that happens every day on our campuses. On any given day you will find students learning to read and grasping complex concepts in calculus. Parents meet with our counselors, and families sit down with our pastors. There are exams and Bible studies, athletic events, youth group activities, and construction milestones being met everyday. There is a lot going on, but Christ is at the heart of it all. All of it has one overarching purpose and goal: to create an opportunity to share God’s gift to us with others.
May God bless you this Christmas as you celebrate and share this gift with those your life.
Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year,
Pastor Carlos Leyrer President – Divine Savior Ministries
